Case Histories are a normal part of our monitoring business.
We document these for a number of reasons, notably :

  • In the process of root cause analysis and continuous improvement. This is a natural extension of the monitoring program and it often leads to greater potential cost savings for the client than the original monitoring program alone.
  • As evidence in a warranty claim by the client.
  • In the calculation of the cost savings and the benefit-cost ratio achieved by the CM program.
  • To document a Monitek Key Performance Indicator for reporting on a performance based contract.
  • For internal training and general information exchange amongst our analysts.

The examples presented here are only a small sample to illustrate the range of machine types, monitoring techniques and cost benefits which we encounter on a daily basis. The benefit-cost ratio calculation is sometimes difficult to quantify in which case a “best guess” approach is used with the approval of the client.
